Player Safety Recommendations
Wear Proper Footwear: Players should wear court-specific shoes designed for side-to-side movements and grip on indoor surfaces, as running shoes can pose a slipping hazard.
Use Eye Protection: Wearing protective eyewear is highly recommended to shield the eyes from fast-moving balls or paddles.
Warm-up and Hydrate: Stretch and warm up before playing to prepare muscles. Stay hydrated by drinking water before, during, and after play to prevent dehydration and muscle cramps.
Communicate Clearly: Call out "mine" or "yours" to avoid partner collisions when reaching for a ball. If a ball from another court enters yours, immediately yell "Ball!" and stop play.
Be Aware of Surroundings: Do not chase a ball onto an active adjacent court. Wait for the point to end and ask permission to cross the court.
Know Your Limits: Avoid making plays beyond your physical abilities and take breaks if you are feeling fatigued or in pain.
Move Safely: When moving backward for a lob shot, turn and run backward instead of shuffling on your heels to avoid falling and potential head injuries.
Clear Belongings: Keep all personal belongings, water bottles, and extra balls off the court surface and outside the fence line to eliminate tripping hazards
